The LIUNA Women’s Caucus was formed in 2003 to strengthen the union and help LIUNA’s women members achieve a better life for themselves and their families.

The purpose of the LIUNA Women’s Committee: To sustain women and other minorities within LIUNA’s membership and increase their involvement in every aspect of the Union, i.e.; apprenticeship training, membership activism, political action, and leadership.

To promote educational programs at LIUNA functions to assist affiliate leadership in representing a changing membership that includes more women, immigrants, and minorities.

To provide more opportunities for women and minorities to be involved at all levels within LIUNA, including education opportunities and leadership training.
